Minstrel Island, where our lodge is located, is a small island on the edge of Knight Inlet. Not only does it have a colourful history but it is located perfectly for wildlife viewing - in the middle between the Grizzly river, our wild river and Johnstone Straits where the whales reside.

Itinerary / Highlights

Day 1: An evening boat cruise for black bears on the afternoon of your arrival
Day 2: A day viewing grizzly bears in Knight Inlet (Estuary viewing May24-Aug24), (River viewing stands Aug25-Oct15)
Day 3: A day viewing sea mammals (Orca, Humpback Whale, Sea Lions, Dolphins etc)
Day 4: Explore our wild river. Spawning salmon (Aug-Oct), walks through the rainforest and potential sightings of Grizzly and Black Bears. If river conditions are poor due to weather we will spend the day viewing grizzly bears in Knight Inlet instead.
