Snowkiting is a modern day mix of snowboarding / skiing and kiting all wrapped up in one. Snow kiting is a relatively new but rapidly up and coming extreme sport as downhill ski resorts continue to get busier and as snow falls become more erratic. Kite power opens up a whole array of new terrain, with no need for expensive lift systems, transforming flat snow plains & plateaus into massive fun-parks. You don't need steep slopes when you've got a power-kite strapped to you - all you need is some wind and some imagination - the sky is the limit as you blast around a frozen ocean, doing cut-backs on banks of powder, launching off natural kickers and mounds - its like riding a never ending static wave.
All courses will be on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau - the biggest mountain plateau in northern Europe with its 8,760 square kms of open space - located in the South of Norway a 3-4 hour drive from Bergen and Oslo, the two biggest cities with International airports in Norway.
There are so many fantastic kite spots that will ensure you good conditions in any wind direction, nearly every day. If not, a short ski-doo ride will get you to some banker spots, even if the plateau road is closed.
Cheap flights are available with Ryanair to Oslo Torp airport - so book now
