In 2000, Abbey Lodge was comprehensively refurbished and extended to provide luxurious en suite accommodation. Much of the slate and stone used in the restoration was salvaged from a number of historical buildings locally. Tastefully decorated throughout, the lodge houses a collection of fine art and antiques, which were once features of the great homes of this historic region. There is also a PC in the lounge, for guests' use. Teacoffee making facilities are also available in the lounge.
