Day 1 Marrakesh Head to Djemaa el-Fna, the city's central square, where musicians, acrobats and dancers all converge.

Day 2 Ouirgane Mountain Bike Escape the clamour of Marrakesh in the village of Plateau de Kik. Take to the hills on mountain bike, passing crop terraces, hidden villages and bizarre rock formations.

Days 3-4 High Atlas Trek. For the next two days we base ourselves at a traditional mountain village, in tranquil Armed. Enjoy local hospitality and hikes into the Atlas Mountains.

Day 5 Ait Benhaddou. Explore the maze of alleyways of this World Heritage-listed kasbah then sit back to watch the red walls glow as the sun sets.

Days 6-7 Dades Gorge. Spend the night in a nomad tent in a valley flanked by limestone cliffs. Admire nature's handiwork at the inspiring Dades Gorge on a walk through the luscious palmeraies.

Days 8-9 Marrakesh. Immerse yourself in the tumult of the souqs, where competing merchants' cries create a special kind of symphony.
