Tignes is a bit of a gem! This place offers a greater variety of sporting activities than any other resort in France. It also has something to offer that no other resort will ever have, and that is the ability to offer doorstep skiing on it's glacier in the summer months as well as experience some excellent mountain biking, rafting and wonderful hill walking in the Vanoise national park.

Tignes is one of Europe's hottest "Super Resorts" for winter skiing. It is a Glacial resort at a very high altitude which means that aside from it's immensely good biking, it is possible to ski and snowboard all summer long on the 25 kms of ski trails which remain open. Hill walkers are facilitated with the incredible and nationally renowned Vanoise National Park, which offers fabulous walks and stunning alpine nature and scenery. The use of ski lifts enables walkers to cover many miles of alpine terrain.

Tignes is the obvious choice for a more rounded sporting activity holiday where it is possible to ski in the mornings and also try other activities not offered anywhere else in France to the same degree. Tignes is the only resort that will offer ALL of the activities mentioned in our menu, with the exception of water skiing.

Itinerary / Highlights

WEEK ITINERARY
• Day 1 - Flight to Geneva. Transfer to resort. Settle into resort, meet our Active Reps. Welcome speech. Dinner at 8pm-
• Day 2-6 - Breakfast 8.00 to 9.30am each day. Activities start, however there is no set itinerary, guests are free to go at their own pace. Try Mountain Biking, Walking, Climbing, Canyoning, Tennis, Via Ferrata, Quad Bikes and other Multi Activities.
• Day 7 - White Water Rafting and Multi Activities in the afternoon. This free rafting day may change
• Day 8 - Transfer to Geneva, Flight to UK.

*Except for the more premium activities such as rafting, climbing, canyoning which will run at set times.

MULTI ACTIVITIES:
Many activities are free on the Multipass or very low cost. Try other Activities like Canyoning, Hydrospeed, Canoeing, Climbing, Parapenting, Pony Treks, Quad bikes, Swimming, Tennis, Via Ferrata & many more. Cost varies from £3 to £35. A multi pass is also a great idea for 3 days a week.

FREE BIKE HIRE:
ee with this holiday deal is 3-4 days rental of a 2011 Kona Fire Mountain Bike. This is a front suspension, disc braked bike which retails for £450. All sizes. Childrens bikes (age 6+) are limited.

Tignes is an active sports centre that boasts the widest variety of summer sporting activities in the alps. Things to do in Tignes
- Ski or Board in the morning on fresh glacier snow. Up to 25kms of piste are open
- Take the cable car up to 2200 metres for an easy ramble to the glacier with breath-taking views of the Tarantaise valley
- Walk or bike among the wildlife of the protected vanoise National Park
- Go Downhill or Cross Country Mountain biking on natural winding trails or exciting man-made bike courses!
- Maybe rafting the rapids, learning to climb or 4x4 driving is your tonic?

Accommodation Details

The Chalet
A 10-12 bed Premium chalet with another 10 bed chalet located right next door and in fact joined, so you can either open out into one 20 bed chalet or two separate 10 bed chalets. There is also Health Club access* with sauna and pool. The Health Club is 50 metres away and is shared by the surrounding enclave of chalets.

Chalet Josephine is an all-new chalet that was built in 2005 to a very good standard of build quality. It has fantastic views across the lake. In keeping with local architecture the chalet is built from natural wood and stone.The interior has been architecturally designed to be spacious and well accommodating with views from the chalet to extend over the lake at Les Brevieres. The chalet features a wonderful stone fire place for cosy evenings in, and full entertainment facilities. The chalet is located 450 metres or a 6 min walk from the shops and bars.
