All activities are suitable for everyone. From absolut begginners to specialists.
*HANGLIDING*
The Dordogne is famed for its birds of prey, such as Red Kites, and you too can experience a bird's eye view of the valleys by learning to hang glide.
Beginning on the exciting Bana-Bana you will soar into the air connected to a 300-metre cable. Ideal for young and old, this can be a one-off activity or used as part of your ongoing hang gliding development.
Your next step will take you flying in tandem with a qualified instructor across the beautiful valleys and rivers of the Dordogne, before moving on to the Pente Ecole Delta - a miniature flying area where you and your fellow group members will learn the rudiments of piloting a hang glider, from taking off and landing, to keeping course and turning.
After this you will be ready for your first solo flight. Supported by two instructors, one when you take off and one when you land, they will have full contact with you throughout the short flight via VHF radio to help you along and ensure you get everything right, as well as enjoy the experience.
*CANOEING*
Famed for its beautiful rivers, the Dordogne is the perfect area to experience canoeing and kayaking.
you will experience the joys of paddling along the Dordogne through valleys and gorges in total safety with ADN instructors, or on your own to enjoy the peace and tranquillity, or to paddle like crazy!
*ROCK CLIMBING*
Get to grips with some of the Dordogne's stunning rock faces as you ascend and descend into the valleys below on this abseiling trip.
Qualified ADN instructors will introduce you to two natural sites at Serviers and Bassignac, excellent for abseiling and rock climbing, where there are 20 routes for you to take from the simplest to the most difficult.
*CANYONING*
Adventure and adrenaline in just a wetsuit and helmet as you get your closest experience of the Dordogne in the torrents of the Combe Jean gorges.
For two and half hours you and your group will take on aquatic toboggans and jumps, one over 5 metres high, all within a natural and wild landscape.
You will be exhausted by the end but come out smiling and exhilarated knowing that you will be heading back to Chateau de Cautine to relax.
*APPALACHIAN HORSE RIDING*
Take in the views of the surrounding Dordogne countryside on treks which include meals or camping in the most amazing landscapes.
Experience riding appaloosa horses through the valleys and forests of the Dordogne from Chateau de Cautine.

All instructors are fully qualified and registered with the independent French safety standard organisations for cycling, tourism, mountaineering, skiing, archery, fly-fishing and hang gliding. |
