Directions
From Bodrum Milas Airport The final 75km of your journey to Altinkum will be approximately 1hour and 20 minutes. Please remember that if you are to drive in Turkey, you must drive on the opposite side of the road from back home, the maximum speed on the highways is 90 km and when driving in the residential areas the maximum speed is only 50km. During the journey to the Altinkum there is a few speed control point so please be careful and do not speed! When you depart from the airport getting to Altinkum is simple. Firstly leave the left after the main gate and follow the signs on the main road to the town of Milas. On the way to Milas you will pass through a little village called Koru, this will show you are on the right road. Koru is approximately 10 km from airport. When you reach Milas you will come to the first main junction to which you need to turn to the left and follow the signs to a town called Soke.After Milas and on the Soke road you will just need to follow the main road for about 45 minutes to where you will pass through a few small villages. Just stay on the main Road! After approximately 30minutes drive you will pass a lake called the Bafa Lake. This lake is one of the largest in Turkey and has very rich salty water as it used to be connected to the Aegean Sea. Beyond the Bafa Lake you will be able to see the small historical village of Heraklia sitting on the foot of the spectacular five fingered mountains. When you have passed the Bafa Lake of Bafa Golü as we say here in Turkey, You go up one more hill and come to a junction in the road signposted to Akbuk. At this junction turn left heading towards Akbuk and keep going untill u pass petrol station on you left. After the petrol station you turn into the road on the right and follow ahead which will take you in to Altinkum. Please be careful on this road as it is full of pot holes! When you reach Altinkum go to second round about then go right around it to your left and you will be on Ataturk Boulevard, this is the main road in Altinkum and will take you down towards the beach. When you are on Ataturk Boulevard (the main dual carriageway in Altinkum) you will see down on the left hand a petrol station and superstore call Tansas. Just after Tansas turn to the left hand side and follow the little road to the end. You will be passing on the right hand side one local school and after the school you will see Aegean Park Village. From Izmir Airport the final 154 km of your journey to Altinkum will be approximately 2 hour and 30 minutes. Firstly leave the left after the main gate and follow the signs on the main road to the city called Aydin.First sign will be appximately one 1 km away and when you turn to the Aydin sid you will be access to the main road. You need to watch the sign on this road because you need to enter the motorway to make the road shorter and more confortable. The first sign to the motorway will be appx 10 km later and will be green sing with white writing. Please turn from the sign showing the Aydin (need to be green sign) . when you enter the motorway you need to take a ticket.You will be pass those exit to the main road Torbali , Selcuk and Soke(ortaklar) .Accesing to the Altinkum you need to go out from Soke exit to the main road. Please note that all motorway in Turkey payable (approximately 2.00YTL). When you pass the exit to the you will be driving approximately 10 min from motorway again. After that you will arrive in to the town Called Soke .You will be driving around road to and you just need to follow the main road.
