Andalucia Horse Riding Breaks, Spain
Superb value riding weekends for all abilities in sunny Andalucia, Spain
A winter weekend horse riding break in the UK will probably involve grey skies, cold hands and feet and most likely some rain as well!
So why not take Friday off and enjoy a long weekend riding break in Andalucia, and get some well earned sun and warmth while riding Andalucian horses on the beach?
Our winter long weekend riding breaks here in Spain are a great way to escape to enjoy some fine horse riding in sunny Andalucia, while making the most of off-peak flight prices. Fully catered with breakfast, lunches and evening meals all included, as well as all your transfers and transport. Our long weekends usually run Thu - Sun - but if you're booking for 4px or more we can easily accommodate other arrival / finish dates.
Enjoy superb riding from two of our selected stables, taking the mule trails over the sierras, rides through the natural park and pine forests as well as the possibility of beach rides depending on ability. Three full days riding, averaging 6 hrs "in the saddle" (though if you fancy less / or would like lessons as well then just let us know).
As always, we only ride in small groups of similar ability - so there's no "keep up at the back" or waiting for stragglers - you are guaranteed maximum enjoyment tailor made to your abilities and experience. NB - the level / suitability setting on this page only allows a choice of one level - we ensure your group will be of similar standards so if you're a novice or "rust rider" then you will be with others like you - if you're an experienced rider then you will be on more forward going mounts and with a quicker paced group.
Non riding partner or friend? Don't worry - we can get them windsurfing, mountain or quad biking, hiking or a host of alternatives - just send us an enquiry with your requirements and we can get you out on the trails just as soon as you arrive.

Itinerary / Highlights
Typical weekend riding itinerary:Thursday - We meet you at Malaga Airport and transfer you to your accommodation, where we will run through your fully detailed welcome folder with all the local maps and guides you need to get the most from your stay.
Evening - After settling in to your accommodation, we all meet in a beach side bar for a welcome drink & tapa. Here we get a chance to discuss the riding, have a quick run through of the town and local area, before enjoying your welcome dinner in a local restaurant with typical Andalucian fare & local wines .
Friday - After breakfast at the hotel we head off to the stables where we meet the horses and guides before heading off for a nicely paced morning ride, perhaps taking the wolf trail as it rises slowly high up into the surrounding hills where we can look down on the white villages and the blue Mediterranean sea..We stop at lunch time to rest and enjoy the views from the hills over the sparkling blue sea, and enjoy a picnic with the horses, before enjoying the remainder of the day's riding.
Evening - Inclusive dinner. Plenty of time to relax in a beach bar or just chill out on your balcony and enjoy the view over the bay. Perhaps take a short stroll into the old town, where you can explore the cobbled streets with their enchanting shops and myriad tapas bars and restaurants.
Saturday - Again after breakfast we leave Almuñécar and travel around half an hour to our stables in the natural park just over the border in the next province. Here we ride through the forest trails, perhaps passing waterfalls, as well as having the chance for some nice canters along the trails. Lunch stop, again with the horses, may be a tavern where we sample local dishes, or if hot we may eat "al fresco".
Evening - Dinner again included, but afterwards there is always Los Bacos to visit, or perhaps some souvenir shopping to be done.
Sunday - Early breakfast as we are off for our last days riding in the sun, with maybe a chance for a final beach ride. Lunch may be a picnic in the shade while the horses take a well earned rest, or perhaps a selection of tapas on the beach before we head back to the stables.
Late PM - After a chance for a quick "wash and brush up" and changing our clothes, you'll have time for a last refreshing drink and to take a few photos over the bay, before we whisk you back to Malaga airport for your flight back home.
