Ardeche Canoeing and Kayaking
Our canoeing and kayaking trips are great as a short break or as part of a multi-activity holiday. The Ardeche gorge is the highlight of the stunning Ardeche National Park, deep in the south of France, bordered by rugged hills to the West and the low plains of the Rhone valley to the East.
Paddling the steep-sided gorge can be done as a one, two or three day trip with optional camping in the gorge or pick-ups to return to comfortable accommodation. The river is an achievable challenge for all (min age 7), with an enticing mix of long, lazy flat sections and fast moving rapids.

SHORT BREAK ITINERARY:
Arrival day. Transfer to accommodation via the gorge viewpoint walk to take a look at the river.
Canoeing day 1. Paddle a series of rapids over 14km to the Bivouac site and a night under the stars (optional).
Canoeing day 2. 16km of paddling to go today as you complete the unforgettable trip through the stunning gorge.
Departure. Maybe time for a visit to the caves before your return transfers. Bye!
MULTI-ACTIVITY WEEK ITINERARY:
Arrival day. A chance to settle in and go for an evening stroll with us before dinner.
Canoeing day. Take on the rapids and see the gorge from within during a fun filled day on the water.
Ropes course. A relaxing and cultural walk in the morning followed by treetop adventure at the ropes course!
Horse Riding. In the morning we take on the 'traverse of three rivers' trek, walking deep into the river on horseback. Afternoon on the beach or the local cliff top walk.
Excursion day. Today we give you the choice - Avignon, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Haribo factory, high walks... the options are endless.
Options day. What else do you fancy? Choose from cycling, motor sports, flying, climbing, canyoning, paintball and many many more activities.
Market and caves. From the traditional market at Barjac in the morning, we set off on a favourite walk with picnic en route. We end the afternoon 200m underground at the Orgnac caves!
Departure day. Hopefully time for one last stroll before you have to leave. Bye! |
