Reach new highs with our 'Redpoint' course

This course is for those that want to learn new skills, climb outside in the sunshine and take their climbing to a new level.

Climbers on this course should be able to tie in, top rope and belay. The aim is to improve confidence and skills as well as to enjoy the fantastic crags of the Ardeche. We encourage participants to lead climb and provide a mixture of instruction and free climbing as well as plenty of opportunities to explore the region.

Itinerary / Highlights

EXAMPLE OF A WEEK.
Our instructors and drivers will tailor the week to the group.

Saturday: Arrival and orientation – introduction to the course.

Sunday: Technique. Looking at what you’ve got and what you need to improve. We’ll head to an easily accessed crag and climb some simple routes. Fun climbing and getting to know each other.

Monday: Core skills. Breaking down some climbing myths and setting the foundations for progression.

Tuesday: Lead climbing. Today we can look at the skills and techniques (technical, physical and mental!) required for lead climbing.

Wednesday: Day off. We highly recommend taking the chance to canoe the famous Ardeche gorge but there are plenty more options (including climbing!) available.

Thursday: The forest and boulders at Mazet Plage provide a shady area to work on skills. In this, the second skills session of the week we’ll look at how you have progressed and will give you the techniques that are necessary to boost your climbing another level.

Friday: Last day! This is your chance to put your new-found skills to the test. We’ll aim to finish the week with a combination of boundary-pushing climbing, riverside relaxing and a few well earned drinks!

Accommodation Details

Accommodation (7 nights at our hotel) in twin or triple rooms. Single room supplement 105 Euros /person.
The hotel has a great restaurant, bar, wireless internet and a swimming pool.
