Atlas Grand Traverse
This exciting trek combines the two finest areas of the Atlas with the beautiful and largely uninhabited valleys and passes between them. From Jebel Mgoun, in the Central Atlas, we head west through high summer pastures with groves of juniper and evergreen oak.
We enter the High Atlas below the twin, often snow-capped, peaks of Toubkal and Ouanoukrim; en route we see the mysterious and historic fortress of Telouet. This is a connoisseur's trek through the hidden Atlas, which provides the opportunity to climb both Mgoun (4068m) and Toubkal (4167m), North Africa's highest mountains.
