This is the ultimate Borneo challenge - crossing one of the most rugged islands on earth from East to West

Highlights

• Explore the central highlands on the 3rd largest island in the world
• Travel through Dayak villages and witness traditional life
• Climb through the remote Muller Mountain Ranges
• See amazing flora and fauna including the possibility of seeing wild Orangutan
• Negotiate your way up some of the wildest waterways around

This is the ultimate challenge - crossing one of the most rugged islands on earth from East to West. Using roads, rivers and feet we traverse the jungle of Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo). You must have a good level of fitness, adventurous spirit and a strong sense of determination, as conditions and accommodation are challenging. We will use buses, public house boats and chartered motorized canoes to access the rugged jungle. We sleep in the simple houses of the villager, with basic facilities and on the house boats. The trekking is tough and often wet, the only way to appreciate the primeval jungle of Borneo. We will come in contact with some of the most traditional Dayak tribes as well as diverse range of wildlife. The traverse of Borneo is a once in a life time adventure, few people have succeeded in completing.
