Itinerary / Highlights
DAY 1 Arrive Sofia, transfer to the village of Govedartsi (1150m) in the Rila Mountains, our base for the next 4 nightsDAY 2 Circuit walk to the Seven Rila Lakes (6hrs)
DAY 3 Walk to Prekorechki Lakes and the Scary Lake and return to hotel (7hrs)
DAY 4 Hike to Musalenski Lakes and Climb Musala (2925m) for superb view of the Rila Mountains (6hrs)
DAY 5 Transfer to Rila Monastery then walk through Pirin Mountains, overnight Bansko (3hrs)
DAY 6 Ascend the highest peak in the Pirin Mountains, Mount Vihren (2914m) and return to Bansko (7-8hrs)
DAY 7 Popov Lake walk (6-7hrs)
DAY 8 Transfer to Sofia, trip concludes
