Cambodia Adventure
Our Cambodia Adventure Cycling Trip is a fantastically varied cycling odyssey. Cambodia's recent embittered history contrasts starkly with the grandeur of the Angkorian past. Our journey takes us the length of this unforgettable country to show you all of Cambodia: past and present.

Itinerary
& Highlights |
| |
Day 1 – From Bangkok, Thailand, we’ll transfer by minivan to the mountainous and scenic Cambodian border. From there, we’ll cycle to Pailin, home to the former Khmer Rouge leaders and also famous for its ruby mines.
Day 2 – This ride feels like we’re biking unchartered territory as we cycle through mango orchards, corn fields, peanut plantations and paddy meadows until we reach Battambang.
Day 3 – Take a boat across Tonle Sap, Cambodia’s Great Lake, toward the lost city of Angkor.
Day 4 – Ride to the Angkor Wat temples and begin the historic Grand Circuit tour through these stunning structures. See the Terrance of the Elephants and Leper King, among others.
Day 5 – Tour an alternative, less touristy route of Angkor Wat. After, we cycle into the countryside to the River of One Thousand Lingas, a powerful and sacred site that reveals that this region was considered blessed long before Angkor.
Day 6 – Cycle through Siem Reap’s countryside to Tonle Sap (the Great Lake). We’ll take a cruise through Vietnamese floating villages. Once docked, we’ll transfer to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital.
Day 7 – Explore Phnom Penh, a city rich with the recent embittered history of the Khmer Rouge regime and genocide. Tour the Killing Fields and Toel Sleng Prison.
Day 8 – Leaving Phnom Penh, cycle along the mighty Mekong River and into Cambodia’s heartland to Takeo.
Day 9 – Ride through small villages to an old French resort on the Gulf of Thailand.
Day 10 – On the Gulf of Thailand, we’ll take a boat to Rabbit Island to see its unspoiled tropical paradise. Ride along the coast and see Phnom Chhnork, a preserved temple inside a cave.
Day 11 – Ride along the gulf’s coast in the shadow of Bokor Mountain— one of the most beautiful rides of the trip.
Day 12 – Free day to relax on a beautiful beach in Sihanoukville.
Day 13 – Cycle and explore Kirirom National Park to see spectacular scenery and waterfalls.
Day 14 – Transfer by minivan back to Phnom Penh Airport for onward travel. |

Accommodation
& Centre Details |
| |
We use a mixture of accommodation, however, every night you will have air-conditioning and private facilities. In Phnom Penh we use a colonial three star hotel, and in Siem Reap we stay in a small hotel with a swimming pool and close to the centre of town. In Kep we stay in a great resort up on the hill which affords excellent sunset views, and in Sihanoukville we use excellent accommodation right on the beach. Elsewhere we use the best available. |
