Spectacular canyoning holidays in the beautiful Pyrenees mountains. Choose a day's introduction to canyoning as part of our multi activity package, a canyoning long-weekend, or up to a week of training and adventure in our two-centre break.

This trip begins in the stunning French Pyrenees, with an exciting introduction to aquatic and vertical canyoning techniques. Mid-week we head South for a complete change of scenery, and the incredible sculpted canyons of the Sierra de Guara, Spain.

The most exciting time of year for canyoning is in late Spring/early Summer, when the snow melt from the high mountains makes the rivers roar. This does mean that the water is cold though, so Autumn is probably the best time of year, when the mountain streams are at their warmest. The rushing waters and lush vegetation of the French side of the border give our local canyons a humid, "rainforest" atmosphere. There are water chutes and pools to jump in, and you will get very wet abseiling down waterfalls! The sunny canyons of the Spanish Pyrenees are often drier and scattered with warm blue pools.

Accommodation Details

All of our holidays are based with us in our newly-renovated 300 yr old house in the heart of the high mountain village of Bareges. The house has a 3-star rating from "Gites de France" (the highest standard in the village).

We have five spacious, characterful and well-appointed bedrooms, one of which is a very large two-room suite. Each has an en-suite shower room, and we can offer twin or family (4 to 8 people sharing) accommodation for up to 14 people. As well your room, all our guests have access to the spacious lounge and games room, with a lovely wood-burning stove, well-stocked bar, coffee bar, big-screen home cinema and a computer with internet access.

We also have a big dining room and a heated equipment room (for coats, boots and skis), and a sauna - perfect for relaxing tired muscles after a hard day in the mountains!
