Canyoning with Powder N Shine!

This is a great sport involving a mixture of walking, scrambling, climbing, swimming, jumping and abseiling down to the bottom of a river canyon, which is also known as canyoneering. The whole point of canyoning is to follow the water downwards, which may include dropping down chutes and waterfalls, jumping vertically or abseiling down with secured bolts that are already in place.

Although this is perceived as an extreme sport, there are qualified instructors for families and individuals and pre-selected routes that have been approved and maintained. The other benefit with going with an instructor is that all the relevent safety equipment is provided. Accommodation Details

Flocon Des Neiges is a traditional, wooden built chalet filled with character and charm. Steve and Francesca have made Flocon Des Neiges into a homely and cosy chalet so that you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible, providing catered chalet accommodation in Reberty Village, Les Menuires.

On the first floor you will find the large living area, with a beautiful central fireplace allowing everyone to benefit from the fire. There is a large kitchen on this level where Francesca will be preparing the 'Dine N Wine' experience for you every evening, except on her day off! You will also find one double room, and one family room (a double room with a separate room with bunk beds); on the second floor there are a further four twin rooms and on the third floor, there is one twin room, and one family room (a large twin room, with an adjoining single room). The third floor has slightly lower ceilings, so it is suggested that those who are taller than 6ft remain on the first/second floors.

All bedrooms have been named after local wines. Powder N Shine are passionate about food and wine, and support the local communities by focusing on local produce - food, wine and cheese.
