Itinerary / Highlights
Day 1 Broome/ Geikie Gorge-Travel from the laidback town of Broome to Geikie Gorge. Enjoy a cruise through the gorge to learn about its geology, local Aboriginal culture and the wild moods of the Kimberley.
Day 2 Tunnel Creek/ Windjana Gorge-
Explore secret caves and unusual wildlife at Tunnel Creek then search out crocodiles and bushtucker at Windjana Gorge. Visit the 'Boab Prison Tree' before returning to Broome for the night.
Days 3-5 Dampier Peninsula/ Broome-
Head for the Dampier Peninsula along rugged 4x4 tracks. The shimmering waters, white sandy coastline and red rocky clifftops here embody the Kimberley's wild beauty. Visit an aquaculture hatchery and a local Indigenous community. Spend free time bushwalking, snorkelling or fishing. In the evenings enjoy colourful Kimberley sunsets over the Indian Ocean.
