Situated a pleasant 5 minute walk from Strahan town centre and harbour, Castaway offers modern, spacious apartments which give you the option of full self catering. You can choose a queen sized bed or twin share all with electric blankets. The apartments are comfortably furnished with a spacious lounge .dining area and fully equipped kitchen. They are suitable for couples, families or groups. Rate is for 2 people: additional guests AUD$20 for a child, AUD$25 for an adult (per person per night). Directions
From the Murchison Highway junction it is about 90 minutes to Strahan.After crossing Lake Rosebery, just after Tullah, on the left there is a turn off to Queenstown and Strahan (B28). This is a LONGER way to get to Strahan, so stay on the A10.After Tullah the road becomes winding and over a set of mountains; Mt Black (very hilly and winding), to Rosebery, and onto near Zeehan.The junction of the A10 and the B27 is 5km from Zeehan. Turn right and travel to Zeehan. There is a great Museum there - well worth the visit.The junction to Strahan is on the left just prior to entering Zeehan, and the B27 is the road - now about 30 minutes to Strahan.After 15 minutes you will come across a scenic lookout on the left, advised by the camera and scenic lookout sign. An elevated platform shows wonderful views of the West Coast and the Southern Ocean. From there cross the Henty River and through the pine plantations into Strahan.
