VAL DISERE
Val d'isere offers ski holidays at altitude with a range of skiing to suit all abilities. The après ski is renowned for its lively nature and keeps all ages entertained! Our ski chalets in Val d'isere offer virtual doorstep skiing for budget conscious skiers and snowboarders.

The skiing is very suitable to all levels and tastes, it offers an abundance of easy and intermediate skiing all over the resort and even has some easier blue runs right up on the glacier. The advanced skiers will find many more challenging runs too.

At an altitude of over 3,250, and some very fine Glacier skiing and boarding, Val D'sere links directly with the neighbouring resort of Tignes and enjoys a similar “Super-Resort” status. Tignes and Val D'Isere combined create the excellent Espace Killy ski area which is all included on the standard full area pass.

Beginner Skiing in Valdisere:
Val D'Isere offers plenty of runs to suit the beginners on the lower slopes however, there are also many well linked easier runs higher up the mountain too - so beginners are not just restricted to the nursy slopes. There are a few free lifts that beginners can make use of on arrival and so it would be prudent to perhaps buy a pass from in resort rather than before hand.

Skiing in Valdisere:
Like its neighbouring resort of Tignes, Val has some very wide and easy "motorway skiing", with long lasting and highly efficient runs suited to all levels of skier. The lift system is very modern and has an abundance of express chair lifts which will whisk you up the mountain quicker and result in shorter lift queues!

The skiing is suited to all levels and ranges from networks of gentle pistes to the steeper gradient mogul fields and powder runs!

The Resort of Valdisere:
Val D'Isere is teaming with nightlife! The Apres Ski kicks off with a thump from about 4.00pm onwards and offers some very lively and raucious establishments! Then there are late night bars and bar-cum-clubs which stay open until 4am. This resort has over 50-60 bars and restaurants to choose from!

Chalet-Hotel Fjord:
The Chalet
The Chalet Hotel Le Fjord is a long established favourite in central Val d'Isere, and just a short walk to the ski slopes and a superbly central location! The Fjord is a basic but attractive chalet-hotel with a brightly decorated interior. All bedrooms have ensuite bathroom and offer comfortable accommodation. Many have balcony and ski slope or mountain views.

The bedrooms have either bath or shower and most have an en suite WC with hand and bath towel. A bright and pleasant dining room is simply furnished in stained pine with a welcoming chalet style atmosphere. The Fjord also benefits from a sauna to help ease those tired ski legs after a day on the mountain!

Location
Very well located on the main street of central Vald’isere, the Fjord is within a snowball's throw of many of the après-ski bars and cafes. The ski school meeting place and nursery slopes are just 400 metres walk and the free ski bus stops less than 100 metres away giving access to other areas of Vald’isere.
