Teaching and Care Work
The teaching and care-work placements are based in Accra, an ideal base from which to experience the unique culture and renowned hospitality that this country has to offer. Working in orphanages you will assist staff attending the daily needs of the children, as well as engaging them in fun activities, games and events. On our Teaching Placements you can work with either primary or secondary level pupils. They benefit hugely from tuition by native English speakers and there are plenty of opportunities to help out with extra-curricular activities such as drama and sport.

Sports Projects.
Ghana is a hotbed of football activity and on the Sports Projects you will work with all levels, from introducing the sport to children in PE lessons through to coaching the promising FIFA stars of the future. You will also have the opportunity to train with local teams and play matches during your stay. Sports projects can also be combined with teaching or building

Length of Project.
Our volunteer projects operate in six week blocks. We try to plan it to make sure the project you are working on comes to completion within a six week block. This stops projects from dragging on, meaning the communities feel the benefit as soon as possible; it also means you will leave with a greater sense of achievment.

You can join the projects for the following lengths of time:-
- Two Week - you can choose between the first or the last two weeks of a six week block
- Four Week - the first four weeks of the six week block only
- Six Weeks - see the project from the start to finish
