Cycling Lycia. We trek in the most beautiful coastal area of the Turkish Mediterranean laying between Fethiye and Antalya. Known to the ancients as Lycia this fabled coast of clear turquoise blue water is rich with archaeological sites. Fragrant pine forests tumble down a back cloth of mountain slopes to end abruptly in red cliffs, secret coves and sandy beaches. We visit splendid Greco-Roman ruins of the lycian period: Caunos, Letoon, Pinara, Xanthos... With its excellent climate, guaranteed sunshine, this delightful coastal offers to spend holidays trekking in a culture, history and nature combining area.

Itinerary / Highlights
1 day: TransferDalaman-Faralya .....60 min
2 day : Faralya to the Kabak-Bay
We ride our bikes to the Kabak-Bay. On our way, we can marvel again and again on the sky blue sea and the cragged mountains. In the lonely Kabak-Bay, we take a refreshing bath and bike back to our pension.
Biking distance: 20 km, incline 500 m
Condition of the route: initially asphalt road, afterwards gravel path
Accommodation: Butterfly Valley
3day Lisure
Optional offer: abandoned Greek city of Kayaköy, the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz and the oriental bazaar in Fethiye (included in the price). Who likes, may paraglide above the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz (not included in the price).

4 day : Faralya to Karaağaç
Today, we bike near the 1.478 m high peak of the Elmacik-Mountain, cross pine woods and enjoy the wonderful sight of the sea and the mountains.
Biking distance: 19 km, incline 900 m
Condition of the route: Initially asphalt road, afterwards gravel path
Accommodation: Black Tree House Simple in Karaağaç
5 day : Karaağaç to Eşen
Today, our bike tour leads us through scenting forests past cedar trees - may be, we run into a hedgehog - and the settlement of nomads. There, we stop for an Ayran (typical Turkish yogurt drink). Who likes, may bike another 23 km to Patara on an asphalt road; the others mount the bus.
Biking distance: 27 km, incline 700 m
Condition of the route: Gravel path

6 Day : Patara to Sakklikent
We bike through typical cultural landscape (greenhouses), before we turn to a small forest lane above the River Xanthos, who brings us through forests to Sakklikent. We visit the gorge, which stretches across 18 km onward and whose massive rock walls arise 300 m high above us. Who dares to cross a few meters of ice-cold water, may marvel at the fascinating polished stone designs inside the gorge. On a typical Turkish sitting place, we enjoy fresh trout. Afterwards our bus brings us to Xanthos, where we visit the ruins of the UNESCO‑World Culture Heritage.

Accommodation: Patara
7 day : Day trip with our bus to Kekova and Myra
Our bus brings us to Myra, where we visit the church of St. Nicolas, the eponym of our Santa Claus who operated here as bishop. A short distance away, we find one of the best preserved roman amphitheatres of Turkey and Lycian Rock Tombs, which rise high above us. After this, we take a small boat which brings us to the «Sunken City » of Kekova. On board, our captain cooks us lunch, sometimes she stops for bathing in lonely bays. On our way back, the bus stops in the small coastal town of Kaş for a stroll.
Transfer to Myra / Kekova: 90 km, about 1 ½ hours
Accommodation: Patara
8 day : Saribelen to Kaş
Transfer with our bus to Sariblen (25 km). There, we start our biking tour above the coast, we can spot the close by Greek island Kastellorizo, glinting in the sun – and imagining the come and go during the turbulent history in this region. Our bus brings us back to Patara (40 km).
Biking distance: 30 km, incline 550 m

9 day : Transfer to the airport Dalaman and return flight
