     Czech Winter Adventure

Multi-Activity in Prague (Czech Republic) with Czech Adventure

Come and visit Krkonoše, the highest mountains in the Czech Republic. The Krkonoše are the most popular Czech mountains for downhill skiing enthusiasts. Skiers will find an abundant number of ski lifts, dozens of chair lifts and ski slopes of varying difficulty ranging from the longest and most demanding in the Czech Republic, to nursery slopes suitable for children and beginners. The ski resorts offer a variety of services for enjoyable winter holidays: ski slopes with snow cannons producing ‘man-made snow', evening skiing, ski equipment rental, ski schools and kindergartens, accommodation, restaurants, refreshment kiosks and other sports facilities. Snow tends to stay for a continuous period of 7 months a year on average, starting roughly from mid-October until middle of May. The average thickness of snow is between 150 to 200 cm (5-7ft). The place of our stay - Rokytnice nad Jizerou, is part of a ski region which attracts downhill skiing enthusiasts and has a wide range of ski slopes varying in difficulty and suitable for beginners as well as for advanced skiers, as well as a range of high quality services. Dozens of ski lifts and a four-seat, 2197 m long chair lift terminating at Lysá Hora lead to the ridges of the adjacent mountains. For snowboarders, a snow park with its own ski lift has been prepared. Enthusiastic skiers have the option of evening skiing. Cross-country skiers will also find entertainment. The maintained cross-country skiing tracks connect to the "Krkonoše cross-country skiing path", which runs across the entire Krkonoše mountain range. The resort is further equipped with ski schools, rental outlets, shops, a few cosy wine bars and pubs, discos, bars, restaurants and fast food places. All these facilities are ready to provide you with quality services and make your stay in Rokytnice nad Jizerou a pleasant experience

This leads from the Old Town Square to Prague Castle and was once the coronation route of the Bohemian kings. From there we head for Charles' Bridge. On the way you can admire the numerous historic buildings and palaces of all styles from gothic to 20th century architecture. We will cross the River Vltava on the unique Charles' Bridge, built in the middle of the 14th century. At the end of our journey is Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world and seat of the Bohemian Kings. Above it rises St. Vitus' Cathedral, a magnificent gothic church built by Charles IV, the Bohemian King and Roman Emperor. There will be a short period of free time after the walk and in the evening we meet for dinner together at the mediaeval themed tavern ‘U Sedmi Svabu'. Here you can expect an outstanding gastronomic experience of a genuine mediaeval feast. The chef prepares the food using recipes from the 15th and 16th century and only ingredients authentic to central European cuisine of the time.
