Discover Surfing
Surfing is perhaps the purest of all the extreme sports; it has an iconic status and proud history. There is a certain romance in surfing which comes from man harnessing some of the worlds most beautiful and powerful natural forces. Millions of people around the world surf and it isn't as hard to learn as you may think, you need to learn the basics correctly from the start and then it's all practice, practice, practice. Our Discover Surfing experience is a half day introduction to surfing and will give you an idea of what the sport is really like, we have selected some of the UK's finest surfing locations and with our British Surfing Association qualified coaches you can expect to receive the best possible instruction to ensure that you will progress as fast as possible. This course is also suitable for people who have had surfing experience as the instructor will tailor the tuition to your needs.

The course will start off with you being issued with your wetsuit and being introduced to the board, you will then be taught the principles of surfing on the beach with the instructor covering paddling, pop (standing up), stance and the all important timing. You will then hit the water where you will start putting the theory into practice. This half day experience is great fun, to give you the best possible chance of catching your first wave we do recommend the full day course. |
