Divemaster
Bring your skills, theory, organisational and supervisory skills to a professional level. By the end of the course you will have mastered the skills required to take people diving, create maps, assist instructors, and have a thorough knowledge of rescue procedures. Can be completed in 10-15 days, but most Dive Masters take 4 to 6 weeks.
Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. You will work closely with a PADI Instructor to develop your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.
* Knowledge Development: 12 topics ranging from dive theory to assisting student divers in training
* Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization), PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization), 20 logged dives, 18 years old.
* Minimum Number of Logged Dives: 60 for certification as PADI Divemaster
Like all PADI programs, Divemaster is modular so you set the pace. A very experienced diver working full time can do the course in as little as 2-3 weeks. However, most trainees take 4-6 weeks. We also take on up to 4 Interns every year - if you're interested in working to part-pay for your training, please ask! |
