Dubrovnik Sailing Adventure
Lopud, Kolocep and Sipan belong to Elafiti Islands Archipelago, less than an hour sailing time from Dubrovnik. They are emerald islands covered by forests, with little car traffic, with lots of sunshine and sandy beaches. Each has no more than a couple of hundred permanent residents who live in traditional stone houses with remarkable character. Tall palm trees, parks, gardens and small pathways everywhere contribute to easy-going life style. Occasionally our yachts or kayaks are escorted by friendly dolphins or tunas common in the area. The sea is blue, clear, warm and friendly.

After the arrival at Dubrovnik Airport you will be transferred to Zaton Bay, a village just outside of Dubrovnik.
After boarding and shopping in the local stores we will sail out northwest to Sipan Island on our modern catamaran yacht for 6-10 passengers with a lot of deck space, comfort and very good sailing performance. Luka Sipanska on the far end of the island is a charming and romantic fishing village and bay surrounded with palm trees. It is picturesque and a favorite mooring place of sailing yachts. Sipan is the largest of Elafiti Islands and bicycles will take us to explore its landscapes, castles, chapels and monasteries. This fishing and farming island was often a target of pirates and conquerors long ago. Nowadays it attracts tourists while resisting the attacks of mass tourism. A pleasant first evening will be spent walking in the serene ambience of the village, tasting local seafood and wines and enjoying soft music.

After breakfast and morning coffee we sail northwest to Mljet Island National Park. The northern part of the island is covered with a dense, green forest. The Park has two beautiful salt water lakes, one with a 14 century monastery on a tiny island. We will explore them on foot and in kayaks, then enjoy dinner under palm trees of a lakeside pub. The quiet, warm waters of the Small Lake provide unforgettable night swimming under the stars. The catamaran will be anchored for the night by a tiny island of Pomestak in Pomena.

A walk across the island to a tiny town of the same name takes only half hour. In the afternoon we will explore the last of the Elaphiti Islands on our tour – Kolocep. The island is perfect for kayaking, it has.only two villages, lovely hiking paths and simple restaurant famous among locals for its fresh seafood and home grown salads.
