Le Praz is the gateway to the Three Valleys where 200 ski lifts and thousands of personnel keep over 600km of groomed pistes in top condition. The terrain caters to all levels of ability from long, wide groomed pistes and easy lifts for learning to challenging mogul fields, steep couloirs and bags of off piste for those mighty powder days...
For snowboarders the snow parks of Courchevel and Meribel are among the best in Europe whilst the varying terrain means that you can always pick a route that won't involve a walk to get you around the mountain!
We are based 200 metres from the bubble lift that takes you straight up into Courchevel 1850. From here you can access the entire courchevel valley, hop over to Meribel or ski down to La Tania or Le Praz.
One of the nicest runs is down to the Chalet Florame at the end of a day's skiing. Tree lined pistes, some of the prettiest in the three valleys, lead you to the village of Le Praz and to within 30 metres of your chalet in normal snow conditions.
The traditionally good snow, north facing slopes (these retain the snow much longer than many other ski resorts) and extensive network of snow cannons that service the pistes enable you to ski back to the village throughout the season. |

The chalet is built in savoyarde style of stone and wood by local craftsmen and is a tasteful mixture of traditional (external stone walls and original stone fireplace) and modern (beautifully finished wooden floors and doors).
A state of the art heating system means cosiness and plenty of hot water for all and a DVD player and satellite TV are available.
It is only 200 metres from the Le Praz ski lift which links directly with Courchevel 1850 and is one of the nearest chalets in Le Praz to the bottom of the slopes...in normal snow conditions guests can ski back to within 30 metres of the chalet, and put their boots straight onto the boot warmer ready for the next day.
There are four bedrooms with wood floors and walls (fireproof) which can be made up as twins or doubles. Each has its own en-suite shower, WC, washbasin and towel warmer.
The open plan lounge and dining room is cosy, comfortable and very well equipped with Satellite TV, DVD, CD sound system and board games. |
