Everest base camp trekking
Everest base camp trekking with Himalayan smile treks ones in life time
Everest Base camp Trekking is, without doubt, one of the most renowned trekking trails in the world. This trekking is also known as Kalapathar trekking. Indeed, Mt. Everest Base Camp has been a popular travel destination since the first successful expeditions of Mount Everest Summit (8848 meter) on May 29th, 1953 by Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgey Sherpa. This trekking reveals some of the most breathtaking scenery of the Himalayan region. On the next day of your arrival in Kathmandu airport, you fly to Lukla (1/2 hour) from where your Everest Base Camp trekking begins. On the first of trekking the foot trail follows Dudh Kosi River. Then following day, you will go through forests of rhododendron and magnolia, villages and monasteries. On the second day, you will reach the Namche Bazaar, a bustling bazaar, that’s a junction for trekkers. From Namche Bazaar, you trek along a high traversing path and reach Tyangboche, an old Buddhist monastery located on a ridge top. Then following days you will be at Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakhashep. After you arrive to Gorakshep, first you ascend to Kala Pathar (5554 m) from where you can get stunning views of Mt. Everest and its surrounding high peaks. Then, the next day, you trek to your major target place: Mount Everest Base Camp (5364 m) at the foot of the Khumbu ice fall. After being to Everest Base Camp, you trek back to Lukla airport following the same previous route with spending few days overnight at different places.
