We'll head out early to the Gatun Locks when they open. Learn about the canal and watch the ships go from the lake to the sea (or vice versa). Then we head into Chagres National Park to visit the historic Fort San Lorenzo at the mouth of the Chagres River. Before we reach Portobelo, we will stop for lunch at one of 2 great restaurants on the water (lunch not included). Discovered by Columbus, attacked by pirates and gateway to 2/3rds of the worlds gold, Portobelo is another UNESCO world heritage site that has to be seen!
Overnight passengers will have time the next day to take a snorkelling trip into the bay and check out the canopy/zip line tour or kick back at the resort for the day.
