Itinerary / Highlights

Day 1 - Welcome evening, entertainment & games

On arrival our team will meet you at the airport with a greeting sign & a big smile. Then we transfer from the airport to the Tolmin area, to enjoy a welcome drink and have an introductory meeting. After a fulfilling dinner, we relax with new friends & can participate in the evening arranged games. A pleasant introduction to your active family holiday with us.

Day 2 - White Water Rafting

Surrounded by majestic green hills, working together you’ll learn to master the art of white water rafting along 2-4 rated stretches of the emerald green Soca River. As always we will stop for water games, swimming and general fun time. Experiencing the crystal clear waters of the Soca river will have a lasting imprint on your life not just your holiday.

Day 3 - Mountain Biking

Today, you venture off together on your mountain bikes, to discover more sides to this stunning region. Winding your way along quiet roads, off-the-beaten track paths & lush meadows, this has to be the ultimate cycling experience. Off course, we will cool down, jumping into the crystal clear river. It’s moments like this, you’ll wish to capture forever. So have your camera to hand!

Day 4 - River Kayaking

Once you have mastered the basics, kayaks give you the freedom to explore almost any river. During the morning we concentrate on tuition and, in the afternoon, we put our new found skills to the test on a Grade I to II stretch of river. Kayaking in Slovenia are essential for family active holidays. The thrills of the pristine water will wash a big grin on your faces, this we know for sure.

Day 5 - Free Day

Today, you have many possibilities. Visit Lake Bled, Paraglide, trek the Tolmika Gorge, hire a mountain bike, swim in the river, sunbathe, relax by the pool, play football, discover the local heritage, folklore & culture. Ask Vamos Travel for more ideas!

Day 6 - Mini Rafting

Today will be spent on the Soca river; cooling, paddling, playing & relaxing in its emerald fresh waters. We'll be trying out the Canoe styled mini rafts for adventuring along the river rapids, stopping for water games, swimming and a very tasty BBQ to refuel the batteries. Day 7 - Canyoning

Taking a short walk through the picturesque Prsjak gorge, we begin to jump, slip & slide our way down stream with escalating heights. The adventure will be like no other you’ve ever experienced, even descending a 27m waterfall, with assisted ropes. This will definitely be a memorable experience, to treasure forever. Day 8 - Departure day

After a late breakfast, there will be some time for shopping, brisk walks about town, and then we must make our sad farewells and take you home for your airport departure. This is always the hardest activity, as it is hard to say good bye to the new friends we have made during your family activity holiday. However, at Vamos Travel we say 'until the next time! In a village close to Tolmin, you’ll be staying in a family run 3 star 'superior' hotel. This fantastic 'family' run hotel, offers: en-suite twin, triple & quad rooms. The food is locally sourced & home cooked, and will be another added highlight to the activity holiday experience.

The Soca Valley is a scenic delight, but also has the conveniences you need for the perfect break away. It is possible to find shops, bars, restaurants, cash machines & even car hire in the nearby Tolmin. We know you’ll enjoy your stay here, as we always receive glowing reviews.
