After a brief stay in the fascinating city of Montreal, you’ll then continue on towards a magnificent holiday resort located on the shores of a lake which, when winter returns, becomes a huge winter sports playground!

Day 1 – Montreal
Rendez-vous in the thrilling and appealing city of Montreal! Second French speaking city in the world after Paris, Montreal combines old world influences with North American modernity in a very unique way. Let yourself be charmed by the romantic streets of Old Montreal and conquer its exhilarating nights! You’ll then understand why the city has been for long time known as the “Northern New Orleans”!
Days 2 to 6 – Montreal / Saint-Michel- des-Saints
After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, the moment has come to leave the big city and to continue on towards some much wilder territories.
Your destination: The Haute-Matawinie region which, only 2 hours north of Montreal, represents an actual gate to Canada’s great outdoors. Between December and March, this is indeed the ideal place to practice in family the main Canadian winter activities. You’ll hence have access to a 50 km network of cross-country skiing trails (equipment included). You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the surrounding forest during snowshoeing or snow hiking excursions.
Among other interesting places, you’ll then be in position to reach a beaver dam and a spectacular belvedere which offers a breathtaking view over the Laurentian Mountains. The sport enthusiasts will also be pleased by the excitement provided by tube sliding slope, the skating rink on the lake (skates included), and the covered ice rink “Megadome” where you’ll be in position to play ice hockey and broomball.
After a day filled with exciting activities, you’ll be glad to take advantage of the warm comfort of this unique inn. Since most of the 79 rooms with private bathroom are connected, children and parents can stay in their respective rooms. The accommodation is divided in 3 different sections: Auberge 4 Vents (connected to the main service building with an interior corridor), La Maisonnée (a small inn by the lake) and the cosy cottages. Wherever you’ll stay, you’ll be surrounded by a wonderful nature!
During your stay, you’ll also have unlimited access to the indoor swimming pool, to the sauna ant the Jacuzzi. The resort also features a play room where you’ll find pool and pig-pong tables. The dining room caters to guests of all ages. The three daily meals included in your vacation are presented buffet style. The décor is warm, the staff welcoming and the excellent food will keep you coming back for more. In addition to all the activities that are included in your package, you’ll also have the opportunity to select some optional activities such as snowmobiling, dog sledding or a panoramic floatplane flight over the surrounding territories.
You can also visit the Matawinie Spa where a complete range of specialized services are offered: massage, therapeutic bath, body wrap, exfoliation, pressure therapy, reflexologie, esthetic services, etc.
