Glacier Expedition

Would a 2 days Glacier Expedition satisfy your need for exploring – You don't even need to go to the Arctic?

FlatEarth offers a superb 2 days expedition. The activity also includes prior theoretical course. We will give you thorough practical instruction in how to walk on a glacier, and in general mountaineering.

The expedition includes an interesting hike to the glacier, walking on blue ice and, for those who like an extra challenge, a unique ice climbing in the deep glacier crevasses. All technical equipment will be supplied by FlatEarth, but remember to bring good boots! We welcome different levels of participants & splitting the groups according to ambition levels, but you must be able and ready for two demanding days.

Itinerary / Highlights

Eidfjord is a unique natural environment. With large contrasts and small distances you can experience the most and best Norway has to offer.

The difference to other glacier walks is the solitude and untouched nature. Our ambition is to reach the top of the glacier, but such goal is largely dependent on the weather, the motivation and performance of the participants. Thanks to the specialist training we offer, we are also able to take you to sections of the glacier- normally not accessible when joining standard glacier tours!
