Gocek Flotilla, Turkey
Sail in Turkey
Sunsail’s Gocek Flotilla holiday is the only designated ‘easy’ flotilla in Turkey, meaning that it is ideal for first-timers and for those looking for an ultra-relaxed, no-stress flotilla sailing holiday that is perfect for families.
The marina base gives Flotilla sailors access to Turkey’s Lycian coast which offers one of the least crowded and most beautiful cruising grounds in the Eastern Mediterranean. Gocek Flotilla sailing allows you to explore the secluded coves and bays and ancient ruins of the region with plenty of time for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing.
A Gocek flotilla holiday allows you to take advantage of the superb sailing conditions of Turkey’s Lycian Coast. Navigation is line-of-sight and passages between anchorages are generally short, allowing for plenty of time to explore or simply chill out.
This is our least windy sailing region in Turkey but there are opportunities for some exhilarating sailing for more confident sailors too. In summer, temperatures can reach 32 C (90 F), ideal for those of a cold blooded nature, making the cooling sea breezes of the afternoon most welcome.
Winds range from 5 to 15 knots (6 - 17 mph), and die down at night.
