Days 3-17 Everest Trek
From a gentle rise through rhododendron and magnolia forests to an arduous climb to Base Camp, this Everest trek will test the mettle and delight the senses. Traverse the glorious Gokyo region, rising along narrowly crafted staircases and steep passes, to take in the five stunning lakes. Stop along the way in remote but vibrant market towns and retire each evening in simple, but comfortable teahouses. At Everest, see where ascents of the great mountain begin at Base Camp. Descend through plains filled with yak herders and their charges and stop in at the tea shops of Kenjoma to recover with a hot brew.
Day 18 Lukla
Wind down with a walk through scrub forests to the ambient village of Lukla.
Days 19-21 Kathmandu
There are plenty of sights and optional activities on offer in Kathmandu. Head to Durbur Square to catch a glimpse of the Kumari Devi, cycle through Kathmandu Valley or visit the aptly named 'monkey temple'. Celebrate the journey with a meal and a trekking story or two in a Kathmandu cafe.
