Husky Week in Jamtland
For those who want an active winter holiday - The perfect family holiday. Here you can be a part of all, the work & life at a sled dog kennel with lots of Siberian huskies. Go on sled dog tours, snowshoe hiking or why not try out ice fishing. And at the end of the day go back to the cosy Husky Lodge to relax. On the sled dog tours you are 2 persons sharing a dog team, or you sit comfortably on the big guide sled. Various tours depending on the participants backgrounds. We only have pure breed Siberian huskies at our kennel!

The Husky lodge - Located at the sled dog kennel, the house next to the host family. Ongoing renovation during 2007- top modern, in Swedish country style! The lodge consists of 2 mini suites - with bedroom, private TV-room and WC. There are totally 4 beds and 2 extra beds in the house, if necessary. Mountain huts during the dog sledding tour without running water and electricity or tent if the weather allows.
About the meals –
Dinner, at the Husky lodge we are taking food from a local restaurant and they serve traditional Scandinavian food (homely cooking). On tours we cook together, sometimes over open fire or in mountain huts. We will try to cook much elk, reindeer, and fish …typical Swedish wildlife food.
