Intermediate Course - level 2 & 3

Have you completed a beginner course and caught the bug?

In the intermediate course we get you on the board and surfing. Of course we start things off by checking what you have learnt and by filling in the gaps. Then we continue with the water-start and surfing safely in both directions. We'll refine your riding position, and hopefully, in no time at all you'll be successfully sailing upwind! Towards the end of the 10 hours course you might even be going for small jumps

Course content:

6-hrs Intermediate Course*

- Recapping the skills from the beginner course
- Improving the waterstart
- Trouble free sailing in both directions
- Setting up a 4 line bar correctly
- Longer runs in both directions
- Rights of way

10-hrs Intermediate Course*

- Changing to different types of kites and boards (twin-tips and intermediate kites)
- Changing direction
- Improving the stance
- Theoretical basis for jumping

Level 2

- Full responsibility for your kite and its correct set up
- Water-start theory
- Kite and board under control
- Water-start
- First runs in both directions
- Sailing down wind
- Launching and landing with both kite and board
- Kite trimming

Level 3

- Rights of way
- Board without a leash
- Stay upwind using the edge
- Changing direction
- Upwind sailing
- Small jumps
