Introduction to Indoor Climbing
Indoor climbing is a great sport that people of all shapes, age and fitness levels can enjoy. Climbing walls have sprung up all over the country and with some basic training anyone can enjoy this sport which challenges both mind and body. Our Introduction to Indoor Climbing Course is a fantastic course which is six hours long, split over either two three hour sessions (London & Glasgow) or four one and a half hour sessions (Swansea & Gloucester) that provides a step-by-step guide covering all elements of indoor climbing. By the end of the course you should be a competent and safe indoor climber who will be able to continue with the sport with out instructor supervision.

This is a six hour step-by-step course involving all elements of indoor climbing. It take a novice from first touching the wall, to a climber who understands safety issues and correct use of the wall plus how to train. The course programme includes; Climbing warm ups & stretching to avoid injury; How to put on a harness, tie knots & belay; Understanding how the climbing grade system works; How to train to improve your own grade. Throughout the course your progress is reviewed by qualified instructors and advice will be offered on how to improve. At the end of the course you should feel confident to register as an independent climber and climb unsupervised. |
