Day 1 - Nairobi
The journey begins in Kenya's multicultural capital, brimming with colourful markets, welcoming restaurants and bars.

Day 2 - Lake Nakuru
Spend the morning at a rural school on the outskirts of Nairobi before pitching tents within the park at Lake Nakuru and heading out on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Fringed by beautiful acacia trees, the lake shimmers pink throughout the year as hundreds of flamingos descend upon it. The savannah area of the park also boasts a wide variety of animals including giraffes, rhinos and lions. Excitingly, this is one of the best places to see leopards in Kenya.

Days 3-4 Lake Naivasha
Travel on to another birdwatchers' paradise, Lake Naivasha, ringed by flat-topped acacias. It's possible to spend free time here cruising the lake to spot hippos or trek out into Hell's Gate National Park to explore its dramatic caves and gorges, or simply relax in the beautiful lakeside surroundings.

Day 5 Loita Hills
Travel across the Great Rift Valley floor to the Loita Hills, right in the heart of Masai country. Tonight, camp among these friendly, semi-nomadic tribespeople and learn about their fascinating culture.

Days 6-7 Masai Mara
The world-renowned Masai Mara Reserve is a huge area of woodlands and open plains, backed by the striking Esoit Oloololo Escarpment. The region is littered with wildlife and safaris through the park might uncover prides of lions, herds of elephants and maybe even a stealthy cheetah. In the rainy season this area is flooded by over a million braying wildebeest on their annual migration.

Day 8 Nairobi
Travel through bush and back to the urban jungle of Nairobi.
