Itinerary
& Highlights |

Day 1 Nairobi - The adventure begins in Kenya's multicultural capital. Once just a swampy rural area, Nairobi is now the largest city between Cairo and Johannesburg.
Day 2 Lake Nakuru - Spend the morning at a rural school on the outskirts of Nairobi. Continue to Lake Nakuru for lunch and set up camp within the park. The lake sits among a beautiful area of acacia trees and pelicans, cormorants and millions of flamingos descend on it throughout the year. The savannah area of the park also boasts animals including giraffes, rhinos and lions, and is one of the best places to see leopards in Kenya.
Days 3-4 Lake Naivasha - Travel on to another birdwatchers' paradise, Lake Naivasha. As an option spend a day cruising on the lake to spot hippos or trek out into Hell's Gate National Park. Stroll past grazing zebras, towering giraffes and sprightly gazelles.
Day 5 Loita Hills - Travel across the Great Rift Valley floor to the Loita Hills and camp with the Masai tribes people and learn about their traditional lifestyle. Dressed in elaborate jewellery and vibrant red cloth, the semi-nomadic Masai can often be seen tending their cattle outside the village.
Days 6-7 Masai Mara - The world-renowned Masai Mara Reserve is a huge area of woodlands and open plains, backed by the striking Esoit Oloololo Escarpment. The region is littered with wildlife and safaris through the park will hopefully uncover lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos and perhaps even leopards.
Day 8 Nairobi - Travel back through the bush to the urban wilds of Nairobi. If you have some time up your sleeve, Kenya's eclectic capital is an interesting place to spend a couple of days. There are museums and gardens to while away the day, or get up close to giraffes at the Giraffe Centre |
