Kilimanjaro - Rongai Route and Safari
After a strenuous climb of Africa's highest mountain, this trip offers ample game viewing opportunities in three of Tanzania's national parks, plus the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Arusha N.P. is famed for its giraffe population and views of Mt Meru high above, Manyara is well known for its bird life and tree-climbing lions, Tarangire for its elephants, while Ngorongoro is home to the largest concentration of wildlife anywhere in Africa.

Accommodation
& Centre Details |
| |
3 nights hotel, 5 nights camping, 2 nights permanent tented camp.
Comfortable Hotel, Lodge or Gite – twin rooms with en suite facilities, reliable electricity and water supply, good service and some added amenities.
Standard Hotel, Lodge or Gite – no-frills hotel, usually with twin rooms and en suite facilities. Service and amenities are generally adequate.
Comfortable Camping – permanent tented campsites, which generally offer walk-in tents, en suite facilities and proper beds, may have added amenities.
Full-service Camping – two person tents sometimes in a private or public campsite that contains a communal ablutions block and other amenities and sometimes in a wild camp with toilet tents and mess tent or dining equipment
provided. All camp chores are done for you from erecting / dismantling of your tent, to cooking & washing up.
Accommodation in Marangu is very limited, we stay in the Kilimanjaro Mountain Resort on a twin share basis with private facilities, this is a new tourist class hotel, with a pool. We camp on a twin share basis in spacious two-person tents with sewn-in groundsheets and separate flysheets. There is a large communal tent, which is used for dining and at
other times in the event of inclement weather. Private toilet tents are provided, since the standard of the provided toilets are rather low.
On safari our accommodation is a comfortable tented camp that is permanently established in the woodland around Lake Manyara. The tents have twin share beds with private shower and bathroom facilities. A welcome luxury after camping wild on the mountain climb!
Single Accommodation A single supplement is available for this tour; the cost is £40 and applies to the tent only, rooms can be limited in Marangu and therefore we cannot offer a single supplement for the hotel nights, as it cannot always be guaranteed. |
