Get off the beaten track on the tougher Machame climb. This is a fully supported six-day camping trip through a remote wilderness area, with great access to the remaining glaciers and the western breach. You?ll enjoy inspirational views of Kibo Peak, the eternal icefields, and Kili's scree-covered dome... before the ultimate achievement of summit morning! We support the Arusha Children's Trust, a charity that runs projects in rural communities in the more remote Rift Valley.

Combination & Extension Options

You can round off your trek with a trip to the exotic spice island of Zanzibar. Alternatively, you can combine your trek with our Serengeti Explorer trip. Itinerary / Highlights

Day 1/2 - Overnight flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to Arusha

Day 3 - Drive to Machame Gate; trek to Machame camp (3000m)

Day 4 - Trek to Shira Plateau (3840m)

Day 5 - Trek to Barranco camp (3950m)

Day 6 - Trek to Barafu camp (4600m)

Day 7 - Trek to summit & return via Barafu to Mweka camp (3100m)

Day 8 - Trek to Mweka village & drive to Arusha

Day 9/10 - Free in Arusha; fly to London
