Skill Development Course
This IKO course is designed for people who are keen to get into the kitesurfing industry and have either no previous experience or really want to concrete their skills. It will take you through all the necessary safety requirements and practical aspects of the sport and will work towards riding upwind, wind knowledge, location assessment, equipment set-up, launching and landing, safety procedures, boat safety, turns, switch riding and jumps, weather systems, basic metereology (local and U.K. ), equipment advice on your first purchase etc. You will leave as a confident rider to really enjoy this sport back home or abroad.. It is an intensive course between 4 up to 6 weeks with around 12 hours of instruction a week.
Assistant Kitesurf Instructor Course
The assistant instructor kitesurf course is designed to give a fast track into the industry. You will leave with a thorough practical knowledge and an insight into teaching methodology. Your certificate will enable you to work as an assistant whilst gaining the required hours of experience before sitting your full level 1 instructor course. The course content includes - wind knowledge, location assessment, equipment set-up, launching and landing, safety procedures, boat safety, riding upwind and downwind, turns, switch riding and jumps, weather systems, basic metereology (local and U.K. ), equipment advice on your first purchase, basic teaching techniques, student safety management. You will receive at the start of the course the IKO Kiteboarders Work Book, IKO Kiteboarding Vision book and an Assistant Manual. Upon completion of the course you'll receive an IKO Kiteboarders Card, Assistant Instructor Diploma, First Aid diploma, IKO Id. number. |
