Kruger is home to over 500 species of birds, some 150 species of mammals (including the 'Big Five': leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino elephant) and over 100 species of reptile. We game drive in the park, typically going out in the early morning or late afternoon when wildlife is at its most active and resting up during the middle of the day's heat. There is also the option of taking either an early morning game walk or evening game-drive (both recommended).
