Level 1 (beginner)
This is by far one of our most popular lessons. Almost everyone takes this option as we use the real "Leading Edge Inflatable (LEI) kites" and train the student in all aspects of the safe flying of these powerhouse kites. Lessons are almost entirely "Hands on" and are conducted with a 1:1 student instructor ratio. This Lesson can also be purchased as a Gift Certificate.

In this lesson you learn, wind effects, equipment terminology, location selection criteria, equipment setup, basic aerodynamics, wind window theory, safety systems, launching and landing both assisted and solo, water re-launching a crashed kite from the water, self rescue, twisting and untwisting the lines whilst flying, and body dragging down wind both hooked into and out of the harness using the power of the kite in a safe water environment.
10% Theory, 60% land flying 30% water flying. |
