Lhasa and Mt. Kailash
Lhasa & the Journey West
From Kathmandu you fly across the Himalaya for a taste of what's to come - stunning mountain views! In Lhasa, you will see holy Jokhang Temple and other colourful monasteries. From here you continue steadily west, via Yangdrok Tso and Shigatse, to arrive at Lake Manasarovar, itself revered by the Tibetan people. Your arrival here culminates a journey across the stunning Tibetan plateau.
Mt. Kailash Circumnavigation
The least visited yet most venerated holy place in the world, Mt. Kailash is worshipped by four religions - Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and the ancient Bon faith of Tibet. Known as the 'Precious Jewel of Snow' in Tibet, you will start your three-day kora (trekking circuit) at Darchen from where you make the steady climb to the highest point of the trek ' the Dolma La Pass (5600m). After completing the trek, you head back down to Kathmandu.
