CHAMONIX INFO:
Chamonix sits at the foot of Mont Blanc which is Europe's highest mountain. Good skiing and boarding is guaranteed here - as the slopes rise to a staggering 3800 metres! The alpine town of Chamonix and its terrain are world renowned, and is possibly the most highly acclaimed ski resort in the world. Chamonix has some of the most incredible off-piste and is suited to beginners and intermediate skiers or snowboarders.
The skiing in Chamonix is world renowned for being nothing short of excellent! 90% of the slopes are above 2000 metres and there is an abundance of North facing slopes to ensure good snow. Despite its mountaineering history, Chamonix is not an extreme resort and beginners are well provided for with one of the best ski schools in France. As an intermediate you will find terrain to push your abilities along very rapidly. It is often said that to spend a week in Chamonix will advance your skills in double quick time!
It is the Off Piste and advanced level skiing that also makes Chamonix stand out from the crowd. The area can be incredibly thrilling to ski or ride either with a guide or exploring the local area under your own steam. For any serious skier, the famous Vallee Blanche run should be high on your agenda and we can help you organise a mountain guide.
It is important to remember that to take a week ski holiday in Chamonix is a truly great experience and can be enjoyed just as much by beginners as well as the experts.

Beginner & Intermediate Skiing in Chamonix:
Although Chamonix is steeped in mountaineering history it is not an "extreme" ski resort! There is an expansive network of excellent beginner slopes in the area that actually makes Chamonix one of the best ski areas for beginners. In fact Chamonix has some of the best nursery slopes that we have seen up in Le Tour.
There are also plenty of easy progressive runs to allow beginners to get out and explore the higher slopes in the area. The Ski and Snowboard school of Chamonix is also known for being very efficient, and is one of the best around.
