LORETO 'THE POINT' SURF CAMP & SURFARI
Mexico is a bewitching, untamed and unpredictable land with fantastic surf. Our trips are for lovers of the outdoors who enjoy the challenges of traveling in remote areas and who have a thirst for adventure and a go-with-the-flow attitude.
Our Southern Baja Surf Camp and Surfari starts and ends in Loreto, located in Baja California Sur on the Sea of Cortez. There are direct flights to Loreto from San Diego, California. The trip includes transportation in a new surfari van from Loreto to the Pacific Coast where the surf camp is located. The 5 hour journey takes you along the magnificent Sea of Cortez, then all the way across the narrow peninsula through a variety of harsh and mesmerizing desert terrain, and ends with an hour long bumpy drive down a dirt road which leads to 'The Point'.
This trip is an off-the-beaten-track surfing expedition to one of the best waves in North America, during prime swell season. The point is way out there on a beautiful stretch of remote, desert coast and well worth the trip; it's likely that these will be the longest most perfect waves you have ever seen! This trip is ideal for all levels of surfers.
The Surf Camp is a portable eco-friendly setup designed to make minimal impact on the beautiful beach which will be your temporary home. Excellent surf, small groups, gourmet camp meals and the adventurous flavor of Mexico... it's the perfect recipe for an unforgettable surf trip.

Your guides and instructors are extremely sensitive to the local people and land wherever they go. We like to keep our group sizes small and our surf camp low-impact so we have a limit of eight surfers per week. It's an honor to get to experience Mexico and Loreto, and you should always travel with respect and smiles and always try to leave places better than you found them.
You will be spending 8 days & 7 nights in Mexico. 6 of these nights will be spent sharing a large tent with 1-4 other guests. We have a variety of tents to accommodate between 2-5 people. You will share one of these big tents (with room to stand) with 1-3 other people of the same sex. Some tents have a removable wall for additional privacy. The final night will be spent at the Hotel Junipero in Loreto, sharing a room with another guest of the same sex. We can accommodate couples, families and groups of friends in their own tents. If you require single accommodation, this will cost an extra £ 135 | $ 230.
THE CAMP
The camp is a portable eco-friendly setup designed to make minimal impact on the beautiful beach which will be your home. Life as simple and beautiful as it gets. The camping experience is living simply, in natural rhythm with the sun, tides, moon and waves. Whether you are a first time camper or an old veteran, you will be comfortable and happy. Realizing that a good nights sleep is key to a good trip, we make sure you'll sleep in roomy tents on big puffy air mattresses with clean sheets and blankets. The shade tent on the beach is the most popular place to relax in during the day, with plenty of surfing entertainment right out front.
All camping equipment is provided including sleeping bag and a big puffy air mattress. During the trip we are always equipped with 5-gallon jugs of certified purified water. Guests should bring one water bottle to fill for their personal daily drinking. |
