Mountain bike madness
Terrain that is good for skiing in winter, is great for mountain biking in the summer! Mountain biking is becoming increasingly popular in Alpine resorts; Méribel have fitted special bike racks to the gondolas and some chairlifts, so you can be transported to the top of the trails and freewheel down.
A trail map covering the Three Valleys is available from the Tourist Office, and group outings are organised during the summer season. Mountain bikes are available to hire from several sports shops in the resort.
Méribel is part of the huge 3 Vallees Ski area and has massive mountain biking potential. The area has an extensive network of singletrack trails, downhill courses and fireroads. There is also a bike park which, although in its early years, is developing each season.

100 Km trail or pure decent 2750m to 600m or inter-valley crossing. Meribel and the 3 valleys have some of the best untracked and trail riding open in the area an is also a dedicated and certified mountain biking site. The trails vary from beginner to advanced with easy to follow maps and mountain signs colour coded for ease of use.
To list all possibilities for this area is impossible. The area has an extensive network of single track trails, downhill courses and fireroads. There is also a bike park which is developing each season.
We have maps of the Parc National de la Vanoise, covering the whole 3 Valleys and showing trails for mountain bikers, footpaths for hikers, , as well as parking areas and tourist offices. Come and see the glorious mountains, lakes and national park. This special area is open by bike or foot, come and be amazed.
