Mountain Kingdoms Of Kyrgyzstan

Get right off the beaten track on this challenging trip into Central Asia's mountainous hinterland. Beginning in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent, we'll travel through the fertile plains of the Fergana Valley before heading for the high country of remote Kyrgyzstan and the dramatically rugged Tian Shan. On a homestay we'll experience the daily life of these mountain people, staying in yurts and riding mountain ponies. Lake Issyk-Kul offers plenty of hiking opportunities, and we'll camp in the wilds of the Ala-Toosu Mountains before heading down to Bishkek and civilisation.
