The highlights of this multi-activity adventure package include canoeing, hiking and biking in the area around the Plitvice Lakes National Park, an area of breathtaking views and stunning scenery. The park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, plays host to 16 lakes, numerous waterfalls fed by both the Black and White Rivers, and seemingly endless forests.
The itinerary will also take you on a journey down the Mreznica, Zrmanja and Krupa rivers by kayak with an option to raft on either the Dobra or Una River, along the border between Croatia and Bosnia. The combination of activity, scenery and cultural immersion makes this journey a unique and unforgettable experience.

Itinerary / Highlights
HIGHLIGHTS: NP Plitvice Lakes, 4 Rivers, Water world of Rastoke, village house on a river bank, traditional Croatian cuisine.ITINERARY
Day 1: Leaving Zagreb or Zadar airport behind, we make our way to Korana Village in Plitvice Lakes National Park area. After settling into your accommodations, join other group members for an informal welcome drink and evening snack by the river.
Day 2: A day spent in the Plitvice Lakes National Park, hiking on easy trails along wooden paths and bridges, around 16 emerald green and opal blue lakes, passing along numerous waterfalls and caves. A panoramic boat and train ride will take us back to the start. Later in the afternoon you can enjoy taking a swim in warm water just in front of your house.
Day 3: Embark on a kayaking expedition down the Mreznica River. The journey meanders through a spectacular landscape of forests, open meadows and travertine waterfalls. The calm, clear pools provide plenty of opportunities to cool off with a swim. Later in the day, we will explore the numerous streams and mills of Rastoke on foot.
Day 4: Today we cycle through forests, between hills and across green fields in the Croatian countryside. Our road will lead us to the Barac caves for a guided underground tour. After visiting the caves, we'll have a picnic lunch and time to relax in a local park. In the afternoon we bike back to Korana Village in time to enjoy a traditional Croatian evening meal. (Please note that cycling the entire route may be too difficult for small children).
Day 5: We head south to the Nature park for canoeing down the magnificent wild-west-like canyons of the Zrmanja and Krupa Rivers. Enjoy easy rapids, swimming in crystal clear waters and a shower under the waterfalls.
Day 6: Expedition into the canyon and waterfalls of the upper Mreznica, This is the most beautiful part of the river. We travel down a deep, narrow canyon and bypass cascading waterfalls - up to 10 meters high.
Day 7: On your final day you can be as active or as lazy as you wish. You can relax by the river, swim or even take another optional bike tour on your own. Several optional hiking, sightseeing or beach trips will be proposed in case you are keen on discovering more beauties that Croatia has to offer.
Day 8: Depart from Korana village for the airport and flight home. You are welcome to schedule your homeward transport for any time. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit - especially those you won't find in tourist guide books.

Accommodation Details
Accommodation is provided by the families of Korana Village, a small romantic place hidden away in a valley surrounding both sides of the river in Plitvice Lakes National Park. The houses are small, traditional dwellings with simple rooms in an idyllic setting. The peaceful atmosphere makes for an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area including breakfasts or barbecue picnics by the river, in the garden full of flowers and butterflies.
Please note that the optional trip will incur an additional charge of approximately 50 euro per head payable on site, and is dependent on suitable weather conditions. The price is based on a min. of 4 participants.
