You can try Diving starting with Scuba Diver course which takes 3 days to complete (so you would need to stay on the island at least 4 days).

The course is a mixture of learning the basics about diving, learning and practising the basic skills in confined water and finally really getting your feet wet with some open water dives to test out your new knowledge and skills.

Itinerary / Highlights

Stay for 4 nights in Castaway Resort in your own bungalow.

Scuba Diver course takes 3 days to complete (so you would need to stay on the island at least 4 days). The PADI Scuba diver course includes the first 3 theory chapters, 3 confined water training sessions and the first 2 Open water dives from the Open water course. Scuba dives are qualified to dive to 12m under the supervision of a divemaster or instructor. You can then upgrade to Open water diver at a later date but this does work out being more expensive.

The PADI Scuba Diver course, does end in certification. Scuba dives are qualified to dive to 12m under the supervision of a divemaster or instructor.

This is not the same certification level as Open Water Divers who can dive to 18m with a buddy.
Scuba Divers can upgrade to Open water diver by taking more training to complete the course at a later date.

Accommodation Details

In our diving courses we use Aqualung Seaquest Wave BCDs. A Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) is a crucial piece of equipment that any novice diver has to master. The Aqualung Seaquest Wave BCDs are traditional jacket style BCDs and are comfortable, tough and functional. Worldwide they are the BCD of choice for teaching beginners to dive.

For more experienced divers we have Halcyon Wings. No other system in the world provides better balance or less drag. The Halcyon Wings System came from the "Doing-It-Right" diving movement developed by the Global Underwater Explorers (GUE). The DIR system of diving is a holistic system that blends an emphasis on safety with the world's most robust equipment configuration. DIR is internationally renowned for its success, simplicity and safety. More experienced divers love the performance of this configuration and we are the only dive centre on Koh Lipe using the Halcyon Wings.

We take pride in our equipment and service it all personally. Simon our dive shop manager is an ASSET trained SCUBA service technician. We believe that if you take care of your equipment it will take care of you.
