Itinerary / Highlights
Day 1 Adelaide/ Flinders RangesJourney into a land of rugged gorges, abandoned homesteads and ghost gums. Hear Outback legends at Yourambulla Caves, ride into camp on camels, then roll out a swag under the stars.
Day 2 Wilpena Pound
According to Dreamtime legend, two giant snakes coiled together to form the massive wall of the Wilpena Pound. Enjoy a bush walk and take in the magnificent views of this natural amphitheatre.
Day 3 Oodnadatta Track
Follow the old Afghan camel route into the heart of Australia. Then cross the dingo fence and quench that thirst in an Outback pub. Enjoy a bush camp under millions of stars.
Day 4 Coober Pedy
This hole-pocked town is famous for opal mining and underground dwellings. Camp in the magnificent Painted Desert.
Day 5 Simpson Desert
Head into a region of stark natural beauty. Relax in Dalhousie Hot Springs and visit Australia'a geographical centre.
Days 6-7 Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Prepare to be awed by the sight of Uluru. Circle the base of the rock to learn about its spiritual significance and witness its changing colours at sunset.
Day 8 Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)/ Kings Creek Station
Hike the eerie Valley Of The Winds then sleep among red dunes and desert oaks.
Day 9 Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon)
Enjoy a guided walk through the gorges and valleys of Watarrka.
Day 10 Alice Springs
Hike and swim in the Western MacDonnell Ranges en route to Alice Springs.
